WSMenterprise Space and Personnel Management
Overview

The WSMenterprise Space management module utilizes the availability of AutoCAD based drawings of floor plans that provide accurate area and lineal measurements. The WSM Space module uses the Aperture Visual Management™ system to store and manage these CAD files in order to ascertain the measurements that space management discipline requires of the space calculations.
Aperture was originally created in order to manage property portfolios which had previously been managed on spreadsheets or other in-house systems. It offers an easy path of migration from old record structures and applies innovative technologies to manage critical dates and activities that have to be managed as a part of this corporate discipline. It integrates with the WSMenterprise system so that key measurement capabilities are captured once and used in the WSM system by many users. This integration automates and simplifies much of the location hierarchy management function and provides very accurate area and space identification capabilities to the system.
The WSM Space Management system provides the Aperture software technology to utilise the AutoCAD drawings effectively. This bi-directional interface also allows WSMenterprise data to be viewed and reported upon through the AutoCAD plans held within the Aperture database through its web portal Aperture VWS.
In its fourth major enhancement since its original design since the original Aperture based module came onto the Australian market in 1998, the WSM Space Management module now includes data stored in SQL based tables making reporting powerful, fast and web based.
WSM Space Management is an integral part of the WSM family of products. It provides the ability to customise the standard Property Council of Australia (PCA) space algorithms for chargeback and cost recovery, making it a powerful ingredient in the comprehensive management of facilities and associated costs.

Personnel Relocation Management
The WSMenterprise Personnel Relocation management module forms a part of the Space Management module and is a web based application that also effectively uses the availability of AutoCAD based drawings of floor plans that provide accurate locations for the placement of personnel. The WSM Personnel Relocation module uses the Aperture Visual Management ™ system to store and manage these CAD files in order to display and report on the locations and their occupants.
WSMenterprise Personnel Relocation management tool allows both users and project or facility managers to effectively install new employees and place them in their optimal location, remove employees, contractors and ensure their termination process is managed effectively in recovering the organisations assets. The system also allows the moving of personnel singly or in groups to suit refurbishment projects, planning new floor layouts or consolidating spatial occupation.

The system records all moves and their history, allows planning to take place and schedule dates for moves in the future. The data about each person and their assets can be stored within the system and can be tracked by the system at every point in time. Links to Human Resources systems and the Active Directory can also be provided if required.
If the WSM Space management system is implemented the floor plan occupancy and capacity can be easily managed by utilizing actual and planned move records. The system also allows the relocation of personnel icon on the actual floor plans if the WSM Space management system is implemented.

The combination of visual information such as floor plans, photographs and jpegs with the database information, (whether stored in Aperture or read from disparate databases), and the report writer makes a very powerful, easy-to-use total facilities management software system.
